Celebrations for the Battle of Clontarf   1014-2014 will take place on Saturday and Sunday 19th and 20th of April 2014 in St. Anne's Park at 10am to 8pm on both days. Please note that entrance to the Park will be closed on Mount Prospect Avenue. Other events will take place on the Clontarf Seafront Promenade.

To those who intend to attend this Event it is expected that over 50000 will be in attendance. Traffic on Sybil hill will be a Nightmare therefore consider walking. There are other entrances to the Park on the Clontarf Road and Watermill Road.

The High King of Ireland was Killed in the Battle fighting the Vikings!

Children will enjoy a range of exciting activities including a giant loom with visitors invited to participate in the ancient art of weaving to create a giant tapestry. Families will be invited to make their mark by creating their own Viking or Gaelic flag for an installation in the park. Award winning artist Breda Marron will invite children to help her create a labyrinth from Irish willow. Visual artist Ger Clancy will show children how to prepare for battle by making a sword and shield and Niamh Lawlor of Pucca Puppets will host an interactive storytelling session for young children with face painting and a Brian Boru treasure hunt also taking place.

CÓRus is back! 

The weekly singing class starts again in Clontarf G.A.A. Club on Seafield Road this Wednesday the 4th of September at 7.30p.m. Whether you've already experienced the fun and enjoyment that is being part of CÓRus or you're completely new to it, all are welcome. We'll be learning our usual mix of pop, rock, country, gospel, songs from musicals and more. For any age (18+), any level and anyone, if you're looking to sing, make friends, perform at concerts or just relax in a happy, musical, no-pressure environment, this is for you. 2012 Rose Festival St. Anne's Park, 21st and 22nd July

St. Anne's boasts the biggest Rose Garden in Ireland with approximately 10 acres of display borders, the centre of rose growing in Ireland.
The festival aims to promote the history of the rose gardens while offering gardeners an opportunity to shop and browse stalls and exhibits whilst being inspired by the plants and flowers around them.A real garden party with music and events for children and adults and all completely free of charge.
